1. Can my child play up an age division?

We encourage parents to keep their children in their respective age groups in order to maintain the integrity of each division. Each division needs players at all skill levels in order to make the division an enjoyable experience. For those children whose skill levels exceed their age group, the league will determine if / when a child will be moved up an age group.

2. How are teams determined? Are there cuts?

Teams will be assigned randomly by the Recreation Department.
Anyone who signs up and pays will be placed on a team. Special requests cannot be guaranteed.

3. How do I sign up?

4. How will I be notified?

Once teams are formed, coaches will contact parents either by phone or email to notify you of game / practice schedules, important changes, pictures, etc. We will primarily communicate through email but most updates will be posted to the Recreation Department’s webpage.

6. What are the age groups?

Flag Football is for players ages 5-12. Teams will be coed in all divisions. All divisions are subject to change based on the number of registrants, divisions are as follows: 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U

7. What is the age cutoff date?

The age cutoff date is January 1 of the playing year

8. When does registration for Spring Flag Football begin / end?

9. What days are practices and games held ?

Preseason practices will be held either Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and / or
Saturdays. Teams will have one weeknight practice and one Saturday practice.
Once games begin, they will be held Saturdays between 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. In season practices will be held weeknights. We will avoid using Wednesday and Sundays.

10. What equipment am I responsible for?

Parents will be responsible for purchasing black shorts and cleats. The Recreation Department will provide shirts and flags.

Teams will be assigned randomly by the Recreation Department. There will be no evaluations. Anyone who signs up and pays will be placed on a team. We will try to honor special requests but cannot guarantee that each request will be permitted.
