The Town of Fuquay-Varina's Economic Development Department invites you to attend a Downtown Project Community Meeting & Open House on Wednesday, May 10th, 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Fuquay-Varina's Town Hall located at 401 Old Honeycutt Road.
This Community Meeting & Open House will provide an opportunity for citizens to learn more and offer feedback related to a potential mixed-use development project in downtown Fuquay-Varina. Since March of 2015, the UNC School of Government's Development Finance Initiative (DFI) has been working with the Town's Economic Development Department to explore ways that the Town can leverage new infill mixed-use development to promote a more walk-able and livable downtown.
The Community Meeting will focus on the results of DFI's analysis through a formal presentation and question-and-answer session from 6:30 PM to 7:15 PM. At 7:15 PM in the same location, the meeting will transition into an Open House-style drop-in event in which guests can view interactive displays, share their ideas, and engage directly with Town staff and consultants.
As a downtown stakeholder, your input is essential to making this initiative a success. More information on this project can be found on the Town's Economic Development webpage or by contacting Jim Seymour, Economic Development Director at (919) 753-1031 or jseymour@fuquay-varina.org.
