Teen Council

The Teen Council helps the Parks and Recreation Department increase community service and recreation opportunities for teens. Teen Council participates in all special events, organizes events for teens, promotes the department, recruits new members, and serves as exemplary citizens. Teen Council is under the direct supervision of the Recreation Program Administrator. Teen Council is advertised on the fvparks.org website under the programs link, ActiveNet, and in every brochure issue in the Teen section.

Events Teens Participate, Volunteer with or Organize: Tree Lighting, Celebrate Fuquay-Varina, Egg Hunt, Monthly Events and Trips, Annual Clothing and Food Drives, Haunted Trail, Creating Holiday Cards for Nursing Homes, Charity Car Washes, July 3rd Celebration Event, Teen Art Classes, Teen Day

Teen Council Meets: Every other Monday at the Community Center
Ages: 13 – 18: Up to Senior Graduation
Meeting Time: 6:00pm – 6:30pm. Time may vary depending on meeting itinerary.
