Town of Fuquay-Varina Adopted Plans

The following development-related plans have been adopted by the Town of Fuquay-Varina.

Land Development Ordinance

The Land Development Ordinance became effective December 30, 2016 and establishes a unified set of regulations that govern the overall development of the corporate limits and extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ).

Community Transportation Plan

Adopted in July 2017, the 2035 Community Transportation Plan (Vol 1) and 2035 Community Transportation Plan (Vol 2) (CTP) directs the vision and steps for providing adequate transportation. View the CTP Presentation made to the Town Board.

Land Use Plan

The 2040 Community Vision Land Use Plan, adopted by the Town Board on July 11, 2022, identifies the community's vision for future growth and development over a 20-year horizon.

Fuquay-Varina Pedestrian Plan

Adopted in July 2022, the Fuquay-Varina Pedestrian Plan provides a comprehensive framework of recommended pedestrian infrastructure improvements, complimented by a series of programs to educate and encourage pedestrians and motorists. 

Town Center Plan

The Town Center Plan provides guidelines for downtown to ensure architectural continuity. 

Varina Streetscape Master Plan

Adopted in 2014, the Varina Streetscape Master Plan makes recommendations for improvements to Broad Street and other streets in the Town's Varina District.  

Wake County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan

Adopted in 2019, the Wake County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan is a long-term strategy helps to reduce the community’s vulnerability to natural disasters.
