Town Code Text Amendment Process

Town Code Text Amendment is the process utilized to make changes to the Town's regulations. Text amendments are typically initiated by Town staff but can also be requested by the public.

Process

If a member of the public is interested in applying for a Town Code text amendment, a pre-submittal meeting with the Planning Department is required prior to submittal of an application. This meeting allows Town Staff to provide assistance with the review process and schedule. Please contact the Planning Department at (919) 552-1429 or planning@fuquay-varina.org to schedule a pre-submittal meeting.  

This follows the same process as the zoning map amendment.

The individual(s) requesting the text amendment must present the application in person at the Planning Board and Town Board meetings.
