Proactive Engagement
The Fuquay-Varina Police Department is committed to ongoing and proactive engagement with our neighborhoods, businesses and community-based organizations to strengthen our relationships and enhance public safety efforts and programs while reducing crime in the community.
Community Involvement & Awareness
Each year Fuquay-Varina Police employees speak to thousands of residents, participate in various safety and educational programs and distribute countless crime prevention materials. Community involvement, awareness, communication and education are top priorities for the Fuquay-Varina Police Department.

Bicycle Registration Program
This program assists in the recovery of stolen bicycles by allowing you to register your bicycle.

Med Return Drug Collection Program
The Unit further helps Fuquay-Varina prevent the contamination of local landfills and water supplies from unused medication.

Neighbors App
Residents can download the free Neighbors app, join their neighborhood, and use the app to: monitor neighborhood activity; share crime and safety-related videos, photos and text-based posts; and receive real-time safety alerts from their neighbors, local law enforcement and the Ring team.

Citizen's Police Academy
The CPA enhances the relationship between the FVPD & the community, resulting in a better understanding of what the community can expect from the officers who serve them. This is an opportunity to learn about the behind the scenes of policing, the why police do what they do, & receive answers to questions. This is not a "Citizen's On Patrol" program. It is a 10 week FREE program, meeting once a week on Thurs. evenings from 6-8:30 pm. All FVPD Instructors. The course is typically offered from Jan.-Mar. Topics include: Org. Review, Recruiting, Community Policing, Tour, Traffic Enforcement, Laws of Arrest, Search & Seizure, Domestic Violence, Traffic Stops, Use of Force, Professional Standards, SRO, Safety, Criminal Investigations & Specialty Units. Requirements: * Must be 18+ * A criminal history check/background investigation * Complete an application * Town residents receive 1st priority Questions? Contact Lt. The program is an automated telephone dialing system designed to provide a means of checking on the elderly, sick, home bound or disabled persons that live alone or that do not have family that can check on them on a consistent basis.

FVPD Tip Email
The Fuquay-Varina Police Department has an email address specifically for the public to send crime tip information they may have about a crime that has been committed, about a wanted person, about a crime location in their community or other information that is considered a "tip" to assist in an investigation. This email address is NOT intended to report crimes in progress or incidents requiring immediate police response.

ReportIt Citizen Property Inventory System
ReportIt is provided to you because FVPD wants you to be prepared in the event of a theft or loss. It's a proactive tool that allows you to easily catalog information about your valuables. This includes serial numbers, owner applied numbers, photos of property and scans of receipts. It's completely internet based, so you never have to worry about losing the data you have saved.
