Public Involvement & Participation

Public Volunteers

The Town of Fuquay-Varina encourages public involvement and participation in stormwater management by seeking Zone Captain volunteers to organize Litter Pickup Events and by partnering with Wake County Big Sweep and NCDOT's Litter Sweep.

How to Volunteer

If you are interested in a private litter pickup event for your business, school, or organization consider becoming a Zone Captain and the Town can help you out. The Town will arrange locations for pickup events and provide all the materials your group will need to help keep Fuquay-Varina Clean!

Contact Jennifer Mitchell at jmitchell@fuquay-varina.org or see our Zone Captain Volunteer Guide and see what this is all about!

P.S. Zone Captains get a free Storm Walter tee shirt (only available for sale at the Fuquay-Varina online store).

Meet Storm Walter in the Town's new video series titled, You Know What Else Is Important?
