Proclamations
A proclamation is typically issued by a mayor to recognize the importance of a community event, significant achievements by community members, or to signal a town's role in significant national events.
Guidelines:
All requests for proclamations must be made in writing to the Town of Fuquay-Varina’s Town Clerk’s Office at least 14 business days prior to the date when the proclamation is needed.
A proclamation may be issued by the mayor to recognize the following:
- Significant achievements by a community member, organization, or business. This includes the recognition of the 100th birthday of a Fuquay-Varina citizen.
- Town of Fuquay-Varina's involvement in a significant national event (e.g., Police Officer Memorial Day).
- To raise public awareness of services the Town of Fuquay-Varina directly provides (e.g. Public Service Week).
