The Park Depot Greenway extension officially opened at the end of January 2021. The Park Depot Greenway Project provided construction of an additional 1,870 linear feet of paved or boardwalk greenway. This exciting new addition to our greenway system connects the existing Old Honeycutt Park through South Lakes subdivision. The greenway includes connectivity to Willow Spring High School and South Lakes Elementary School.  The Park-Depot Greenway Trail now spans approximately 2 miles.

The $1.2 million construction of the Park-Depot Greenway Trail extension was entirely paid for through a combination of grants including a Wake County Facilities grant in the amount of $256,000 and a CAMPO grant of $1 million.
