What's Coming to Fuquay-Varina

Non-Residential Projects:

State Farm Insurance

Plans have been approved for a State Farm Insurance office located at 1536 N. Main Street adjacent to Williams Used Car Lot. The existing house will be renovated and an addition will be added to the back for a total of 1,556 square feet.

South Main Street Daycare

Plans have been submitted and are under review for a 4,104 square foot daycare facility to be located at 724 S. Main Street on the corner of S. Main Street and Jones Rd and adjacent to the Dollar General property.

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

Plans have been approved and construction has begun on a one-story 16,587 square foot church on Johnson Pond Road adjacent to the Carillon Assisted Living facility and across from the Sterling Ridge subdivision.

South Wake Medical Park

Plans have been approved for Phase 1 of a medical/office park located adjacent to Ashford Commons on the corner of Broad Street (Hwy 55) and Old Powell Road. Phase 1 consists of two one-story 7,200 square foot buildings along Broad Street (Hwy 55).

Krispy Kreme

Plans have been approved and construction has started for a 10,400 square foot commercial building located at the corner of N Judd Pkwy NE and E Broad Street across from the SunTrust Bank. This building will have a Krispy Kreme with a Drive-Thru and room for up to four more tenants.

St. Bernadette Catholic Church Sanctuary Expansion

Plans have been approved and construction has started on an expansion to the sanctuary at the church located at 1005 Wilbon Road. This expansion will increase the seating capacity by 600 for a total of 1,200 seats.

Gregory Development, LLC Headquarters

Plans have been approved and construction has started on an 8,000 square foot building located at 9541 Industry Drive in Associates Park II off US HWY 401. This building will be used as the new headquarters for the contractor company Gregory Development, LLC and will also have some warehouse space.

Capps Used Auto Sales

Plans are being reviewed for a 528 square foot building with a used car sales lot located at 3224 N Main Street across from Don Jenkins Ford.

Young’s Auto Sales

Plans have been approved for a 2,259 square foot building with a used car sales lot located at 10016 Fayetteville Road on the corner of Scott Road and Fayetteville Road.

Murphy Express

Plans are being reviewed for a Murphy Express gas station to be located at the corner of N Judd Pkwy NE and E Broad Street across from the recently approved Krispy Kreme project.

Residential Projects:

Ashford Village

Construction of infrastructure for Phase 2 has begun for an Open Space Subdivision on the corner of Old Powell Road and James Slaughter Road. This phase is 1.87 acres, zoned R-10 and will include 11 lots.

Ashford Commons

Plans have been approved and construction of infrastructure has begun for Phase 7 for a Zero Lot Line Subdivision adjacent to the Ashford Village subdivision on Old Powell Road. This phase is 3.22 acres, zoned R-4 CU and will include 15 lots.

Neill’s Pond

Preliminary Plans have been approved for an Open Space Subdivision located at the corner of Holland Road and Purfoy Road. The property is 47.90 acres, zoned R-15 CU and will include 107 lots.

Bailey Place Apartments

Formerly known as Fuquay Manor Apartments, plans have been approved for a new 807 square foot office/community room to be constructed on the existing apartment complex site located at 609-A Hillside Court off of Angier Road and Ballentine Street. Renovations are also being made to the current apartment units. The property is 5.62 acres and zoned O&I.
