Flood Hazard Map

Flood Hazard Map identifies flood hazard soils based on Wake County soil maps and FEMA mapped flood zones for the 100 year flood plain. Flood hazard soils are defined as those soil types that are susceptible to flooding. The FEMA flood zones are based on field surveys and engineered and computer based data to define the 100 year flood plain. Any structures, grading or development that occurs within or adjacent to flood hazard soils or FEMA mapped flood zones, the Town requires specific information and compliance with Town design standards.
