Youth & Teen Programs
Summer Day Camp (Grades K-5)
Join us at the Community Center for a Summer of fun. Campers will enjoy arts & crafts, sports, team games, outdoor projects, weekly field trips and fun guests. Current immunization records, completed application and full payment are required to register. Applicants must have completed kindergarten to register. Registration is $50 for town residents, $75 for non-residents. The camp day begins at 7:30am and ends at 5:30pm
- Session I: June 23 - 27 *full
- Session II: June 30 - July 2 (no camp July 3 or 4. Resident $30. Non-resident $45)
- Session III: July 7 - 11 *full
- Session IV: July 14 - 18 *full
- Session V: July 21 - 25 *full
- Session VI: July 28 - August 1 *full
- Session VII: August 4 -8 *full
- Session VIII: August 11 -15
Sewing Camp (Ages 8 & Over)
Come learn the art of sewing and design. Students will learn about notions, different types of fabrics and uses, basic hand sewing and sewing machine use. A sewing kit is required and may be purchased from the instructor for $15. Registration is $72. The class will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30 - 7:30pm.

Beginner Liturgical Dance Camp (Ages 6 - 10)
Learn to worship through the grace and beauty of liturgical dance. Each day will consist of a one hour dance class, a devotional, snack break, and craft time. Leotard and footless tights are required. Bring a Bible and water bottle. Registration is $60. Classes meet Monday - Friday, 3:30 - 5:30pm.

Beginner Ballet Dance Camp (Ages 4 - 6)
Children will dance to a variety of classical music and will create a dance related craft. Each day will consist of a 45 minute dance class, a ballet story, snack break, then craft time. Leotard, tights and ballet shoes are required. Bring a water bottle. Registration is $60. Classes meet Monday - Friday, 10:15am - 12:15pm

Tae Kwon Do (ages 6 & up)
Designed to teach traditional Tae Kwon Do. In addition to good exercise and self-defense, students learn perseverance and self-control. Class meets Tuesday & Thursday from 7:45-9:00pm. Fee is $30 for 4 classes.

Introduction to Judo (ages 10 & up)
Designed to teach traditional Judo. No kicks or punches are taught, mostly throws, chokes, grappling and respect for others. Uniform and membership required for second 4 weeks which can be purchased from the instructor. Students should enroll with a partner of equal size, but it is not required. Fee is $72. Friday classes are from 7:00 - 8:30pm. Saturday classes are from 9:00 - 10:30am.
- Session I: Saturdays, May 3 - 24 and Fridays, May 30 - June 20
- Session II: Saturdays, May 31 - June 21 and Fridays, June 27 - July 25
- Session III: Saturdays June 28 - July 26 and Fridays August 1 - 22
Judo Training Time (ages 10 & up)
For belt holding Judo students or participants who have completed Introduction to Judo. Dojo etiquette and other key points of Kodakan Judo will be the emphasis. Students will train for competition and promotion. United States Judo Association membership will be required. Fee is $135. Classes meet Fridays, 7:30 - 9:00pm

Yoga Ed. For Kids (ages 6-8)
Children will explore various breathing exercises, stretches, and engage in guided relaxation while pretending to be animals, plants and other structures found in nature. Registration is $20.
- Session I: Wednesdays, June 18 - July 9, 6:30 - 7:15pm
Babysitting (ages 11 & Over)
This course teaches youth the skills every parent seeks in a babysitter, including basic childcare, safe play, first aid and emergency action skills. Register by contacting the American Red Cross. Please call 919-231-1602. Registration is $50. Classes meet Saturdays, 10:00am - 4:00pm.

Open Gym
The Community Center offers open gym times for all ages. Open gym is free, but registration is required. Registration must be filled out at the Community Center. Participants under 18 must have their parent or guardian present in order to register. Children seven and under must be supervised by an adult. Be sure to check the monthly schedule for times.
