Common Electrical Reinspections
Common reinspections on electrical field inspections:
1. House is locked at time of inspection or inspection not ready when called.
2. Ground fault circuit interrupter not installed on circuits feeding receptacles in bathrooms, garage receptacles, crawl space, and kitchen counters.
3. Ground fault receptacles to be labeled " GFCI PROTECTED".
4. Ground rod not driven flush or below finish grade with an approved ground clamp.
5. Non metallic cable not secured within twelve inches of boxes, and not secured every four and one half feet.
6. Grounding of all metal equipment including metal device boxes.
7. Receptacles located so that no point along the wall exceeds six feet without a receptacle and spaces two feet wide or greater. Counter top space in kitchens so that no point along the wall exceeds two feet without a receptacle.
8. Panelboards not labeled properly.
9. Overcurrent protection of appliances are not in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
10. Nail plates where holes containing cables is less than one and one quarter inches from edge of studs.
11. Required working clearances are not maintained at service equipment and panelboards.
