| A | Human Resources keeps all applications on file for 24 months. If you still have an application on file and the information is current, then you can resubmit it for another available position. Just call the Human Resources department at (919) 753-1030 or e-mail hr@fuquay-varina.org and request that your application be resubmitted. |

| Q | How long does the hiring process take and how can I check on the status of my application? |

| A | Depending on the position, the hiring process can take anywhere from 2 weeks to several months. Every candidate that has applied for an available position with the Town will be notified by phone, postcard or letter regarding the status of their application. Applicants may call the Human Resources office at (919) 753-1030 or e-mail hr@fuquay-varina.org to inquire about the status of any position. |

| Q | Are there additional items that need to be included with an employment application for firefighter positions? |

| A | For firefighter positions the following information needs to be included with the application: 1. A copy of your driving and criminal history 2. Copies of your High School Diploma or GED. 3. NC Firefighter Certificates, First Responder- Defib or higher, Hazardous Materials Operation certification. |

| Q | Are there additional items that need to be included with the initial application for police officer? |

| A | Yes, in addition to the basic Town employment application, the applicant will need to complete an F-3 form (personal history statement) and an Authorization to Release Personal Information form. These forms may be obtained in the Human Resources Office at Town Hall. |

| Q | How do I apply for a job with the Town of Fuquay-Varina? |

| A | When there is a job opening, you may complete a standard Town of Fuquay-Varina employment application. These applications may be found in the Human Resources Office at Town Hall. You may also call (919) 753-1030 to request an application in the mail or visit www.fuquay-varina.org to download an application. All applications must be fully completed and submitted to the Human Resources Office in a sealed envelope. |
