Year-Round Service
Due to our rapidly growing service area, we require residents to schedule yard debris pick-up service if they want to be guaranteed a pick-up by Friday. This helps keep our service efficient and cost effective.
Please call 919-552-1408 or click Yard Debris Pickup Form to request service. All requests for pick-up received by 5:00 pm on Monday will be picked up that week, please put the debris out by Monday evening and it will be picked up before the end of that week. Requests received after 5:00 pm on Monday will be picked up the next week. You can call (or e-mail) and leave a message 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Yard debris should be placed curbside away from regular trash for pick-up. Please do not place yard debris in ditches or in the street. Yard debris should be placed in bags or containers not to exceed 50 pounds. Paper bags are desirable, but not required. If plastic bags are used, they will be left behind in your yard. Plastic bags can not be recycled at the dump, but paper ones can be recycled.
Large limbs (not including twigs, pine straw and other small debris) can be placed curbside without being in a container or bag. Limbs should be cut down to 5 feet in length and 3-5 inches in diameter.
Remember, that yard debris removal is a residential service. If landscapers do yard work at your home, they are responsible for hauling away any yard waste generated. Yard debris left by landscape contractors, tree surgeons or other paid technicians will not be collected.
Dirt
The Town does not pickup dirt or rocks.
Christmas Trees
Christmas trees are collected curbside from December 26th thru January 22nd. Remove all decorations, including any nails from the stand and place at the curb for pick-up. There is no specific day designated for pick-up. Trees are removed as time warrants, so please leave your tree at the curb and it will be collected as soon as possible. Trees can also be dropped off at Action Park, which is located off of Wake Chapel Road.
