Automatic Meter Reading System
The Public Utilities Department replaced more than 8000 residential and commercial water meters with an automatic meter reading system in the first half of 2011. The automatic meter reading system is expected to save on labor and fuel costs while enhancing billing accuracy and efficiency. Utility rates will not be affected.
5 Points Pump Station
The Public Utilities Department is currently constructing a pump station on Highway 401 North near the 5 Points area that has the potential to service an area of approximately 160 acres.
