All dancers in the Performance Art program will be invited to perform with their class. This theme for the season is Broadway & Theater. Main Street, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526 (Ages 18 & Over) Learn to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, infants and children. First Aid training includes caring for shock, sudden illness, severe bleeding and injuries. Book & splint included. First Aid valid three years, CPR valid one year. Main Street, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526 One-day refresher course on safe driving for drivers ages 50+. Cost of course is $12 AARP members; $14 for non-members. In recognition of Veteran’s Day, all veterans regardless of age can take the course for free. Veteran’s spouses, children, dependents, widows and widowers are eligible to take the course for free. 12	13 Senior Trip-Durham Bulls Game Senior Trip-Durham Bulls Game When: May 13, 13 2:00 - May 13, 13 7:00 Where: 820 S. Main Street, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526 We will head out to Durham Bulls Athletic Park to catch a Monday matinee game. A roof covers home plate and down both the first and third base lines to the end of each dugout. All seats at the DBAP are extra wide with seat backs, extra leg room and have cup holders. Registration fee will include a ticket and transportation to the game. Main Street, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526 (Ages 12 & Up) Basic boating safety class includes information regarding boat operation, legal requirements, handling of emergencies and other information. Persons between 12 and 16 years of age are required by the N.C. General Statutes to complete a NASBLA approved Boater Education course and carry a certification card and proof of age to operate a personal watercraft on the waters of the State of North Carolina. This class meets the requirements for certification. Student must attend both classes. Register at http://www.ncwildlife.org/	18 Football Clinic Football Clinic When: May 18, 13 12:30 - May 18, 13 4:30 Where: 301 Fleming Loop, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526 We’re celebrating our first-ever Tackle Football Program! On Saturday, May 18th from 8 am – 12:30 pm, Parks & Recreation, in partnership with Campbell University, will host a Tackle Football Clinic at Fleming Loop. For those registered with the Town’s Tackle Football Program, the event is free. You can still attend if you are not registered with the Town’s program. The cost is $20.00. Main Street, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526 (Ages 55 & Over) A spokesman from Combined Insurance will give a talk about Medicare, what it covers and what it doesn't. He will then talk about supplemental insurance and answer any questions you may have. Free refreshments will be served. Main Street, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526 The F-V Community Center is having a blood drive on Friday, May 31 from 3:30-7:30pm. Sign-up online at www.redcrossblood.org, click on "enter sponsor code" and enter Fuquay Varina. All presenting donors are automatically entered into a drawing for a chance to win a $1,000 gift card. The blood drive is being organized by local resident Quanneice Flythe, 919-810-0408 or quanneiceflythe@yahoo.com, as a project for a scholarship.
