Fuquay-Varina Parks & Recreation plans, organizes and executes many special events throughout the year.
Egg Hunt
The Easter Bunny brings more than 12,000 candy-filled eggs to South Park for Fuquay-Varina’s annual Easter Egg Hunt which is usually scheduled on a Saturday two weeks prior to Easter.
Children ages 10 and under are invited to participate. The Easter Egg Hunt features three hunt areas, each for a different age group.
Movies in the Park
Every July, the Fuquay-Varina Parks & Recreation partners with Lifespring Community Church to provide free Movies in the Park. Dates and times for these family-friendly shows are published in June.
Celebrate Fuquay-Varina
This highly successful festival is a combination of live entertainment, children and youth activities, classic cars, fabulous food and an arts and crafts show. In short, the Celebrate Fuquay-Varina festival is free, family fun in true Fuquay-Varina style!
The festival is held the first Friday and Saturday in June. On Friday night, the festival kicks-off with a concert. Saturday festivities are held in downtown Fuquay from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Independence Day Celebration
Celebrate the 4th a day early by attending the Fuquay-Varina Independence Day Celebration. This event includes diverse group of food vendors, music acts, free inflatable rides, and a free world class fireworks display. Gates open at 6:00pm.
