Fuquay-Varina Parks & Recreation plans, organizes and executes many special events throughout the year.
The Easter Bunny brings more than 20,000 candy-filled eggs to South Park for Fuquay-Varina’s annual Easter Egg Hunt which is usually scheduled on a Saturday one week prior to Easter.
Children ages 10 and under are invited to participate. The Easter Egg Hunt features three hunt areas, each for a different age group.
This highly successful festival is a combination of live entertainment, children and youth activities, classic cars, fabulous food and an arts and crafts show. In short, the Celebrate Fuquay-Varina festival is free, family fun in true Fuquay-Varina style!
Originally held in June, the festival has been changed to Saturday, October 8, 2016, 10 am - 4 pm. On Thursday night, the festival kicks-off with a concert. Saturday festivities are held in downtown Fuquay. Visit www.celebratefv.com for more information.
The Follow Me 2 Fuquay-Varina concert series takes place at Centennial Square in the Spring and Fall and is free to the public.
Independence Day Celebration
Celebrate Independence Day early by attending the Fuquay-Varina Independence Day Celebration on July 3rd. This event includes diverse group of food vendors, music acts, free inflatable rides, and a free world class fireworks display. Gates open at 6:00pm.
Ice Cream Social
Celebrate the town of Fuquay-Varina and National Ice Cream Day at the Fuquay Mineral Spring Park.
The Town hosts a haunted trail in October. Both Family Fright and Full Fright activities are available. There will be a volunteer meeting held at the Community Center on September 19, 7:00pm for anyone interested in helping with the event.
