Fuquay-Varina Fire Department Annual Open House is a Blazing Success
More than 1,500 people attended Fuquay-Varina Fire Department’s Open Annual House on Saturday, October 8. The record crowd learned about fire safety through a variety of demonstrations, touring the station, playing games and meeting fire department personnel. Sparky the Fire Dog made an appearance to the delight of children of all ages. According to Fuquay-Varina Fire Chief Tony Mauldin, “We look forward to the Open House every year because it provides an opportunity for firefighters to teach fire safety and prevention and for children and parents to learn valuable, lifesaving information.”
