The Code Enforcement division is a division of the Fuquay-Varina Fire Department. Our office is located at the Fuquay-Varina Fire Station #1. The address is 301 S. Fuquay Avenue.
The Code Enforcement division is charged with the responsibility of ensuring compliance with the North Carolina State Fire Code in new and existing commercial buildings within the Town’s jurisdiction.
Division Duties Include:
- Enforcement of the fire code through a mandated fire inspector’s schedule.
- Performs fire inspections in the following occupancies: assembly, business, educational, factory, hazardous, institutional, storage, residential, daycare, group homes and foster care homes.
- Issue required fire code permits.
- Building and site plan review for all new commercial and residential projects.
- Group presentations as requested by business owners and citizens.

All plan submittals, applications and required fees should be submitted to the Town of Fuquay-Varina Inspections Department located at 401 Old Honeycutt Road.
