The Fuquay-Varina Economic Development Department is responsible for economic development and creating business opportunities within the Town of Fuquay-Varina, a vibrant community in southwest Wake County that can boast location and its development friendly community as one of its finest assets for all interested development projects.
Our community is only a 25 minute drive from the famous Research Triangle Park Region and 40 minutes from one of the United States greatest military bases, Fort Bragg, a major US Army military installation. Accompanied by a short 10-20 minute drive to top tier colleges such as North Carolina State University, Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and the North Carolina State Capital, Raleigh; the development and collaborative opportunities are endless for project development via public-private partnership.

The Economic Development Department is charged with working with existing and new businesses interested in becoming part of the Fuquay-Varina community. Our business community in conjunction with the Town’s Economic Development Director actively recruits industry in the industries of Research/Development, Aerospace & Defense Technologies, Life Sciences, Interactive Digital Media, Advanced Medical Technologies and Green Technologies, Education Services and Start-Ups.
Very few communities the size of Fuquay-Varina can boast of such an impressive base of existing industry. The corporate headquarters of Fidelity Bank, Bob Barker Company, Patriot State Bank, Southbend, Apex Instruments and InServe Corporation are located within our town limits, as are major manufacturing facilities for John Deere Turf Care, and Tyco Electronics Power Management.
