This family oriented event is meant to uplift our youth and community! We encourage all Fuquay-Varina’s families and youth to join in this event that sends the message that “we are all in!” There will be children's activities, speakers and a family style cookout. It’s all free and made possible by volunteers and the Fuquay-Varina Police working together in true community spirit!

Veteran Owned Business Festival (VOB Fest)

Join us for a fun, free, family-friendly event benefiting MMIA, Heroes United and Operation 300 at the Veteran-Owned Business Expo. There will be live music, food trucks , local breweries (3), games for all ages, prizes, and lots of fun! Proceeds raised will benefit Military Missions in Action, Heroes United of NC and Operation 300.

The Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its 7th annual “Core Connection” Business Expo at the Fuquay-Varina Community Center on Thursday, August 25th from 10:00am to 4:00pm.  This Expo celebrates the wide variety of new and existing businesses that have recently made southern Wake County a mecca for new business development.

BBQ Scholarship Fundraiser

The Fuquay-Varina Garden Club will host a BBQ Dinner Fundraiser for FVHS AG Students. The cost will be $10 a plate which includes a BBQ, a beverage, sides and dessert. The event will also include short talks from current NCSU Agricultural students. A Silent Auction will include many great items such as a weekend in Boone, a ride in a Polaris Slingshot, golf for four at Bentwinds Golf Course, food, lessons, gifts, etc. You do not have to be present to win. When you walk in the Out of the Darkness Walks, you join the effort with hundreds of thousands of people to raise awareness and funds that allow the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to invest in new research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss.  Thanks to Walkers and Donors like you, AFSP has been able to set a goal to reduce the annual suicide rate 20% by 2025.

However, anyone who would like to participate can register in person at the walk from the time check-in begins until the walk starts. Walk donations are accepted until December 31st. Celebrate Fuquay-Varina Festival
10th anniversary!

Hard to believe, but the festival turns 10 this year! To celebrate, we've created a new look and moved the event to the fall in hopes of cooler weather. A dash more festive! Expect live entertainment at 5 venues, a free kid zone, a craft beer garden (there will be wine too), arts, crafts and classic cars. The kick-off concert will be held on Thursday, October 6th at 6:30 in the Varina Business District. Sponsorships are available!
