South Park
Celebrate America’s birthday at the Fuquay-Varina Independence Day Celebration at South Park on Friday, July 3rd. South Park is located at 820 S. Main Street.  Gates open at 6 pm with Spare Change, playing a range of music sure to please everyone beginning at 7 pm.  Kids can enjoy free inflatables, rides and activities prior to the fireworks which begin at sundown.  Make sure to bring a blanket or chair and get there early to claim the best location to view the fireworks.  The event is alcohol-free, however, coolers are allowed.  Food vendors will be on site.  Please leave animals comfortably at home.

Making a Splash in Fuquay-Varina - Splash Pad Grand Opening

Make a splash at the new Fuquay-Varina Splash Pad!  Cool fun awaits kids of all ages at the Town’s new splash pad which will open to the public on Wednesday, July 15 at 10 am during a ribbon cutting ceremony.  The 6000 square foot pentagon shaped pad features multiple jets of streaming water from more than 35 water features. Other upgrades taking place at South Park include the installation of a new picnic shelter in mid-August and upgraded playground equipment this fall. 
The Fuquay-Varina Splash Pad, located at South Park (900 S. Main Street) will be open daily, 11 am – 7 pm through Labor Day and may stay open through the fall if the weather cooperates.  
Be among the first to enjoy the Splash Pad!  Join us for the grand opening ceremony and enjoy free ice pops and get a “Making a Splash in Fuquay-Varina” t-shirt.  Limit one t-shirt per person while supplies last.  At the grand opening, we will also have free inflatables!  Look for more information about the Splash Pad opening at www.fuquay-varina.org.  
An Afternoon at Mineral Spring Park

Any day is a good day to eat ice cream, but National Ice Cream Day seems very official, so let’s make it a date!  Join us on Sunday, July 19 from 4 – 6 pm at the Fuquay Mineral Spring Park, where our town’s history began, to celebrate National Ice Cream Day and our town!  Last year, more than 500 people joined in the ice cream social.  Free ice cream, iced tea and lemonade will be served.  The Fuquay Mineral Spring Park is located at 105 W. Spring St.
Youth Sports Registration for Fall Sports

Summer just began but it’s time to think about fall ball!  The Town will register for all fall sports including baseball, flag football, soccer, softball, t-ball and volleyball from July 1-August 1.  The cost is $40/resident and $65/non-resident.  For specific league, rules and participation information please check the individual sports pages at www.fvparks.org.  Register online or at the F-V Community Center located at 820 S. Main Street.
