2nd Friday Art After Dark

Downtown Fuquay-Varina
Join us on Feb 10th, and on the 2nd Friday of every month, for "Art after Dark," an Art Walk.  Participating businesses downtown and throughout Fuquay-Varina will be showcasing the Arts in various forms, including local Artwork, live music, classes, performances, creative activities, and more.  For a full list of events and locations, visit www.fuquay-varinaartscouncil.org for a map and participating information.  Art After Dark is sponsored by the Fuquay-Vairna Arts Council.

Valentine’s Day at the Community Center

We’ve got programs to make you feel the love on Valentine’s Day!  Seniors can join in a Potluck Lunch on Tuesday, February 14 beginning at 12 noon.  Bring a dish and enjoy fellowship.  Stick around and play Bingo at 1 pm.  Cards are $1.00 per game.  Preschoolers can enjoy a free Valentine’s Day Project on February 14 from 10:30 – 11:00 a.m. Free, but register to ensure there are enough supplies.  552-1430.

Promotional event with the American Cancer Society naming Fuquay-Varina Mayor John W. This month, the Centennial Museums will open several new exhibits!  Plan your trip to see this extraordinary place that houses Fuquay-Varina’s historical artifacts!  New displays include the old jail, and fire, EMS and police displays.  Tours are available at Fuquay-Varina’s History Museums Complex which features the first Fuquay Post Office, the Squire Ballentine Schoolhouse and the Centennial Museum on Wednesday and by appointment.  Free admission!   Parking available!   A good picnic site!   Quaint Shops!  For more information, go to www.fuquay-varina-museums.org.

Senior Citizens Free Tax Return Prep
Every Monday beginning February 6 thru April 9, 2:00-6:00 p.m.
Fuquay-Varina Community Center
Seniors can get free assistance with preparing their tax returns!  AARP, the nation's largest volunteer-run tax assistance and preparation service, will conduct tax preparation services for low and moderate income seniors every Monday beginning Feb. 6 through April 9 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at the Community Center.  You MUST call 919-552-1430 to schedule an appointment.
